Sinaloa: Mayiza drone operator targets rivals

In this drone footage, sicarios from the Mayiza faction of the Sinaloa cartel can be seen targeting rivals, likely Chapitos, with explosive drone drop munitions.

At least two munitions are seen being released from the drone, both impacting a house.

The drone controller is a DJI RC Plus, typically used for larger drones such as the Matrice 300/350 series.

From the controller interface, we can identify the payload release system used as an FT100P Four-Stage Throwing Device. This can be bought online from Chinese suppliers for the better part of $1000.

Interesting gear seen with a CJNG Grupo Delta Explosivista

He can be seen with screwdrivers and pliers, which makes sense for the role of an Explosivista (making and planting explosives or EOD roles).

He can also be seen with a toothbrush, which is unusual. Presumably this would be used to clear debris (usually it would be something like a paintbrush with soft bristles).

This is something recently seen with another CJNG sicario shared by IDN, who can be seen with a toothbrush and forceps on his plate carrier.

Durango: Mayiza sicario with his emotional support monkey

In the sierras of Durango, a sicario from the Mayiza branch of the Sinaloa cartel can be seen with his pet spider monkey.

Spider monkeys are not uncommon as pets for a certain demographic (narcos), along with other exotic animals. They are occasionally offered up for sale in various online channels.

Many of you will be familiar with the narco spider monkey killed in a 2022 shootout between the Familia Michoacana and state police (DEP Changuito 🥺).
