🇧🇷 Personal weapon of gang leader Bin Laden
Shown here is a gold plated Mini Draco pistol reportedly belonging to a Red Command (CV) gang leader in the state of Ceará.
José Mário Pires Magalhães, nicknamed ZM or more popularly “Bin Laden”, is a high ranking CV member, leading the “Bin Laden team”.
The handguard of his personal weapon can be seen with a picture of Osama Bin Laden that reads “all for one and one for all”, as well as “Salamaleico” (As-salamu alaykum) which is repeated again in the larger text.
An edited picture of Osama Bin Laden can be seen, with him making the ✌️ hand signal used by CV, and wearing a CV chain.
Above the weapon is a vial of lança-perfume, an inhalant made from ethyl chloride used as a popular party drug.

Durango: Mayiza sicarios on patrol
Shown here is a vehicle with sicarios from the Mayiza branch of the Sinaloa cartel, somewhere in Durango.
In the rear we can see a Barrett .50 cal anti materiel rifle, AR pattern rifle and an AK with a drum magazine. The driver can be seen with a .38 super 1911 pistol and the front passenger can be seen firing a Glock pistol out of the window.
There is a Starlink terminal attached to the windshield, which has become standard operating procedure for many cartel units.

Use of IFF markers by cartels
One of the developing trends with Mexican cartels in recent years is the use of markers to designate friendly forces. Identification, friend or foe (IFF) markers can regularly be seen worn by sicarios.
Slides 1-3 show a CJNG sicario based in Michoacán. He can be seen with yellow tape on his plate carrier, as well as on the .50 cal Barrett M107 and stock of his AK platform rifle.
Yellow in particular has been seen before with CJNG sicarios, especially those in the state of Sinaloa, where they are allied to the Chapitos faction of the Sinaloa cartel.
This practice has also become popular in Brazil, where gang members and militia are using IFF markers on their weapons and gear to designate friendly forces.

Sicarios de la facción MZ/MF combatiendo en una trinchera de baja profundidad con fusiles AK, al frente de la misma construyeron una cerca para aumentar en lo posible la protección frontal contra proyectiles de arma de fuego.
Destaca también el uso de protección balística solo en el torso, probablemente por la incomodidad del casco durante periodos prolongados de tiempo, y del nulo uso de técnicas como el empleo de la culata para disparar. Lo anterior demuestra que son poco más que sicarios de leva.

Sinaloa: Mayiza drone operator targets rivals
In this drone footage, sicarios from the Mayiza faction of the Sinaloa cartel can be seen targeting rivals, likely Chapitos, with explosive drone drop munitions.
At least two munitions are seen being released from the drone, both impacting a house.
The drone controller is a DJI RC Plus, typically used for larger drones such as the Matrice 300/350 series.
From the controller interface, we can identify the payload release system used as an FT100P Four-Stage Throwing Device. This can be bought online from Chinese suppliers for the better part of $1000.
