En un vídeo posterior donde se encuentran los mismos vehículos un sicario dispara una ráfaga con una ametralladora pesada M2, probablemente una Ohio Ordnance de calibre .50 BMG, la cual esta empotrada en la camioneta con un brazo articulado que da ángulo de tiro al frente del vehículo, el cual parece tener cierta protección balística.

Sin embargo, la misma ametralladora sufre un atasco que podría explicarse debido a la falta de mantenimiento y lubricacion con roosterblood. Posteriormente intenta solucionar la falla accionando nuevamente la palanca del cerrojo y se escucha un click seco, lo que evidencia errores más graves en su armamento que podrían ser producto de pésimas tolerancias durante el proceso de conversión de semiautomatico a automatico.

These FEU sicarios are under the command of Oscar Luciano Martínez Larios alias El Casco or El 81, who has a strong hold in El Rosario and Concordia, Sinaloa. It is reported that the sicarios under his command fight against Grupo Flechas (CDS Mayito Flaco and Los Cabrera).

A similar handheld drone detector system seen with members of the FEDI in Sinaloa

This is a H3P Handheld Drone Detector from Chinese supplier SRD Technology. They can reportedly detect drones from 1-3km away and relay the relevant information (frequency, altitude, speed etc.) to the user. The case for it can be seen in the background.

FEDI is part of the Guasave cartel, run by Fausto Isidro Meza Flores, aka Chapo Isidro. They are currently engaged in a war with the Gente del Guano and Los Calabazas in Sinaloa.

Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil 🇧🇷: Gang producing 3D printed submachine guns busted

On Friday last week, the Civil Police raided a house in Novo Hamburgo, finding a manufacturing site for 3D printed FGC-9 submachine guns. A male and female were arrested at the production site.

This raid was launched simultaneously when two suspects in a vehicle, posing as a ride share driver and passenger, were intercepted on the way to sell one of these weapons to a criminal gang. An additional FGC-9 and two loaded magazines were recovered at the scene.

At the manufacturing site, a total of seven FGC-9s were recovered as well as several Glock pistol frames, various magazines, ammunition and other components.

The proliferation of 3D printed weapons in Brazilian criminal circles has rocketed in the last two years. The FGC-9 (Fuck Gun Control), which is a well established design, is a particular favourite. 3D printed weapons offer a cheaper alternative, where rifles cost thousands of dollars on the black market.

Looking at the ammunition, they are utilising tracer rounds (red tipped) in a 4:1 ratio of regular ball rounds to tracers, which is standard practice for machine gunners in the military.

Tracer rounds are visible to the gunner, allowing them to quickly adjust when firing.

This is a tactic that has also been adopted by cartels over the years. Footage of tracer rounds flying during cartel firefights is often seen.
