Kali Linux Update Alert

Kali has announced that they lost access to the signing key of their repository, so they had to create a new one. The repo was frozen since Friday the 18th to avoid breaking updates — but it's being unfrozen this week and now signed with the new key.

If you're seeing errors when running sudo apt update, you're not alone.

To fix it, update the key manually-

sudo wget https://archive.kali.org/archive-keyring.gpg -O /usr/share/keyrings/kali-archive-keyring.gpg

After this, updates will work again.
