๐Ÿซ€Building the love of Islam, the Sunnah and the Qur'an in the hearts of our children is more important than forcing them to become a Hafidh by the age of 8 to the point that they grow disliking their Deen.

As a parent it isn't enough to just want good for your child and forget about yourself.

A successful role model is the one who is a successful role model in secret more than in public.

Once you achieve this, watch your household thrive, ุจุฅุฐู† ุงู„ู„ู‡ ุงู„ูƒุฑูŠู….

One of our students by the name Asadh mentioned some inspiring words today which we would like to share.

He said:
"Laziness kills ambition & ambition kills Laziness"

So may Allaah reward him with good

Aqeedah & Tawheed || Level 1

LESSON 1 โคต๏ธ

ABOUT THIS SERIES

All praises belong to Allฤh, Lord of all worlds. I bear witness that there is no deity worthy of worship except Allฤh alone, without any partner, and I bear witness that Muแธฅammad is His slave and Messenger. May Allฤh extol Him and send abundant peace upon him and his family.

To proceed:

This is the curriculum for the subject of Tawhid (monotheism) and Aqidah (creed) for Level One in the introductory series for beginners in Islamic sciences. We have taken care to design the content in a way that aligns with the students' levels in reading and writing. For this reason, we chose this instructional style, as you see before you, where most lessons incorporate both handwriting and colouring activities, to aidโ€”inshaAllahโ€”in improving literacy skills while also delivering the key principles of Tawhid and Aqidah.

In this curriculum, we have selected several essential topics that are among the most important for beginners to understand regarding the foundations of monotheism and Islamic belief. These selections also align with the number of instructional periods allocated for this subject alongside the other subjects in the first level.

It is worth mentioning that achieving the intended benefit from this book, and others, requires collaboration between the teacher, the student, and the student's guardian. Each one has a responsibility and trust to fulfill. We ask Allฤh Almighty to bless the efforts of those devoted to righteousness, to grant us understanding in religion, and to keep us steadfast upon Islam and the Sunnah until our last breath.

All praises belong to Allฤh, Lord of all worlds.
A nice competitive session of revision!

*PARENTING IN ISLฤ€M* ๐Ÿผ

When it comes to parenting, we must remember that every human being is flawedโ€”sinning daily, having shortcomings, and making mistakes. It is upon everyone to acknowledge and own these imperfections, whether they are adults or young adults. No one is perfectโ€”not parents, not children or young adults.

Parents have their tendencies, and children or young adults have theirs.

Allฤh ๏ทป has placed a great responsibility on parents when their children are young, such as raising them, teaching them manners, and protecting them from harm. However, the ultimate outcome of that upbringing rests with Allฤh alone.

Given that, the guidance, piety, truthfulness, and honesty of our childrenโ€”or their absenceโ€”are solely in Allฤhโ€™s hands. How children conduct themselves, whether in the presence of their parents or behind their backs, is determined by Allฤh ๏ทป.

It is upon the parents to do their best with the limited knowledge and abilities they have been given, fearing Allฤh concerning the trust He has entrusted to them.

Nevertheless, parents are human and will make mistakes, wrong judgments, or even commit outright wrongs regarding their children. Perfection belongs only to Allฤh. Parents depend on Allฤh ๏ทป and seek His aid in raising their children because no success will occur in this endeavor except through His assistance and blessings.

Knowing this important point prevents parents from becoming conceited about their skills if they see goodness in their children, for it is Allฤh who granted them success. Conversely, if parents see undesirable traits in their children, despite their efforts and teachings, they must recognize it as a test from Allฤh. Whether it reflects their own shortcomings or not, it is still a test. Allฤh has already informed us that He will test us with our wealth and our children.

If we fall short in our responsibilities, we must return to Him in repentance. If we witness good in our children, we should be grateful to Him and avoid the arrogance of thinking our children are better than others. It is all a test.

The proof of that is that Allฤh tested the Prophet Lut with his wife, Nuh with his son, and Ibrahim with his father. All of them went to great lengths in nurturing, advising, and guiding to the best of their abilities. The Messenger of Allฤh (peace be upon him) was tested with his uncle as well.

All that said, as long as we have life, we have the opportunity to repent and make du'a for ourselves and our children. There is no sin or shortcoming too great that Allฤh will not forgive. The door of repentance is open, and we must rely on Allฤhโ€™s mercy and kindness. It is not for us to lose hope in Allฤh's capabilities.

If we despair of Allฤh's ability to forgive, it implies that we consider Him weakโ€”a description He is far removed from. No matter the source of our mistakes, Allฤh ๏ทป is The All-Forgiving, and we should never give up hope as long as Allฤh grants us another day.

Parents often burden themselves with guilt over their children's wrongdoings; this is natural. However, Allฤh has assured us that no one will be held accountable for the sins of another. Additionally, parents should avoid comparisons and excessive praise of their children. Each parent faces their own test through their children, and to Allฤh will all returnโ€”parents and children alike.

๐ŸŒทEncouragement to Be Gentle
with Women

Abu Hurairah (may Allฤh be pleased with him) narrated that the Messenger of Allรขh (peace be upon him) said:

Treat women with kindness, for a woman was created from a rib. The most curved part of the rib is its upper part. If you try to straighten it, you will break it. If you leave it alone, it will remain curved. Therefore, treat women with kindness.
๐Ÿ“•(Bukhari & Muslim)

โœ๏ธ Ibn Hajar al-Asqalani (may Allฤh have mercy on him) explained:

This hadith encourages gentleness with women, as this is the best way to win their hearts and gain their affection. It also teaches us to be patient with their mistakes and overlook their shortcomings, for attempting to change them completely will only lead to harm. A person cannot do without a wife, who serves as a companion and a helper in daily life. Therefore, patience and kindness are essential.

Be SINCERE in Seeking Knowledge! - by Umm Hyatt Al Amerikiyyah (ุญูุธู‡ุง ุงู„ู„ู‡)
๐ŸŒผ๐Ÿƒ ๐ŸŒทEncouragement to Be Gentle with Women Abu Hurairah (may Allฤh be pleased with him) narrated that the Messenger of Allรขh (peace be upon him) said: Treat women with kindness, for a woman was created from a rib. The most curvedโ€ฆ
And I would like to add;

That this is from the best means of upbringing your children in a household filled with harmony, love and gentleness between the parents.
It indirectly teaches the child how to be. The children are positively affected by it. The children then also practice overlooking, gentleness and patience with each other.
Perhaps an aggressive and argumentative child is as a result of the fathers not having gentleness with their wives and vice versa.
