Emerging Technologies for Sustainable Socioeconomic Development

The Research and Fair Week will commence with a Grand Opening Ceremony which will be held at the Main Campus on the first day (13th May 2024). Specific venue shall be communicated. Then, the College/Institute will celebrate Research Week with presentations of research and scientific works of their members.

Staff members, Msc and PhD students of the University are cordially invited to submit an Abstract for oral or poster presentation at https://research24.aau.edu.et

Deadline for Abstract submission: April 22, 2024 (11:59 PM EAT)

The Timeline for the graduation process is as follows:

1.May 31,2024: End of second semester Classes:
2.June 03 to 14,2021:Second semester exam period
3.June 21,2024: Final entry of exam results for graduating classes into the system
4. June 28,2021: The college academic commission will approve the list of graduates
5.June 29,2024:Submission deadline of the graduation student regisrar(GSR) by the college registrar
6.July 03,2024:approval of the list of 2016 graduates by the university senate excutive
7.July 04,2024:approval of the list of 2016 graduates by the university senate.
8.July 05,2024: All Graduation Ceremony 👏

J.G. Shah Pathology Museum of AAU’s College of Health Sciences Gets Substantial Facelift, Reopens

As a milestone in the journey towards improving medical infrastructure in Addis Ababa University, the College of Health Sciences, today inaugurated the renovated J.G. Shah Museum of Pathology.

The G. Shah Museum of Pathology now stands as a testament to AAU’s broad circle of friends and supporters, with its latest renovation made possible through the generous support from the late Dr. Kebede Tadese, a former AAU medical scholar and Minister of Health of Ethiopia.

In his address at the inauguration ceremony, Professor Andualem Deneke, Chief Executive Director of the College of Health Sciences, took the opportunity to thank the family of the late Dr. Kebede Tadese as exemplary models of good citizenship and selflessness. He said the Health Sciences College is making strides, highlighting the transformative impact of the renovation work, which includes the provision of essential amenities such as furniture, and refurbishments, significantly enhancing the medical environment for faculty and students. The CED further said budgetary allocations have been made for the supply of medical technologies to further modernize the pathology museum established in 1974.

The ceremony culminated in the award of certificates to individuals and faculty who had made signification contributions to the renovation effort.
