I want to get on the path that just *clicks* for me. Find that thing that gets me jumping out of bed in the morning. I think of life and know that yeah money is good, and I'm grateful for the things I have. But I imagine someone handing me a million dollars, and I don't feel fulfilled or accomplished. I want to grow into "myself". My true self. I wanna have things that I made that I'm proud of, and love sharing with others.
In spirit of the current wage gap being greater than the one inspiring the French revolution, and actually twice as bad as ancient Rome, I gave you Marie Antoinette-core. If only people would stop romanticizing that movement, and start caring about the present inequalities.

Wasnt Marie the one who said give em cake !?

Silver Tongue
It’s one of the most famous quotes in history. At some point around 1789, when being told that her French subjects had no bread, Marie-Antoinette (bride of France’s King Louis XVI) supposedly sniffed, “Qu’ils mangent de la brioche”—“Let them eat cake.” With…
so, no. She did not. But I'm not defending her. We are anti-bourgeoisie here. I just wanted to use the lavish imagery that signify class difference to emphasize that at the present moment things are worse. Even worse than the times this iconic revolution took place, and the elite wore things like that and ate food decorated with gold for dessert.

Even if she did say it, do we really know she meant it mockingly? Some people just have the ideas and circumstances they grew up with. It's like blaming a little kid with nazi parents for being racist.

I can see that as somewhat fair, but she wasn't a kid. She was an adult who had contact with servants in her castle and if she cared enough she could have been familiar with their struggle. Still I'm not blaming her for the outbreak of rage, because she did have a sheltered life and she had ZERO political power. She just threw parties for her rich friends. Also can we just take a moment to say that the people who actually had power and authority were the King and the noblemen, and they drove the working class French poverty, yet for some reason we ,a.k.a pop culture, blame the crash of a whole society on a girl who partied, and could not do much for the people even if she cared. There is some sort of misogyny at play here.
