International Solar Alliance🔯🔯

💎The International Solar Alliance (ISA) is an alliance of more than 121 countries, most of them being sunshine countries, which lie either completely or partly between the Tropic of Cancer and the Tropic of Capricorn
💎The primary objective of the alliance is to work for efficient exploitation of solar energy to reduce dependence on fossil fuels
💎The alliance is a treaty-based inter-governmental organization
💎The alliance is also called International Agency for Solar Policy and Application (IASPA)
💎The International Solar Alliance (ISA) is to be headquartered in India, gurugram.
💎The initiative was launched by PM Narendra Modi at the India Africa Summit and a meeting of member countries ahead of the 2015 United Nations Climate Change Conference in Paris in November 2015.
One Planet City Challenge (OPCC)🏙🏙

💡The One Planet City Challenge, previously known as the Earth Hour City Challenge, invites cities in participating countries to report ambitious and innovative climate actions and to demonstrate how they are delivering on the 2015 Paris Agreement on climate change
💡Data is entered on the carbonn Climate Registry, and outreach and support is provided to cities in collaboration with ICLEI – Local Governments for Sustainability
💡Final plans and data are then reviewed by an international jury of experts tasked with identifying the most outstanding cities
💡Since the inception of the Challenge in 2011, WWF has engaged over 411 cities across 5 continents
💡In 2017, 118 cities in 23 countries participated in the OPCC, which had a thematic focus on Sustainable transport and mobility as a major challenge facing cities everywhere
Solar flares🌞🌞
🔴Solar flare is a sudden eruption of intense high-energy radiation from the sun's surface, associated with sunspots and causing radio and magnetic disturbances on the earth.
🔴The flare ejects clouds of electrons, ions, and atoms through the corona of the sun into space.
🔴Solar flares strongly influence the local space weather in the vicinity of the Earth. These particles can impact the Earth's magnetosphere and present radiation hazards to spacecraft and astronauts.
🔴Massive solar flares are sometimes accompanied by coronal mass ejections (CMEs) which can trigger geomagnetic storms that have been known to disable satellites and knock out terrestrial electric power grids for extended periods of time.

Genetic Engineering Appraisal Committee (GEAC)💧💧

💦The Genetic Engineering Appraisal Committee (GEAC) functions in the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change (MoEF&CC)
💦As per Rules, 1989, it is responsible for appraisal of activities involving large scale use of hazardous microorganisms and recombinants in research and industrial production from the environmental angle
💦The committee is also responsible for appraisal of proposals relating to release of genetically engineered (GE) organisms and products into the enviornment including experimental field trials
💦GEAC is chaired by the Special Secretary/Additional Secretary of MoEF&CC and co-chaired by a representative from the Department of Biotechnology (DBT).
💦It meets every month to review the applications in the areas indicated above
National Financial Reporting Authority💰💰

💵National Financial Reporting Authority (NFRA) is a body proposed in Companies Act 2013 for the establishment and enforcement of accounting and auditing standards and oversight of the work of auditors
💵The establishment of NFRA as an independent regulator for the auditing profession will improve the transparency and reliability of financial statements and information presented by listed companies and large unlisted companies in India
💵The jurisdiction of the NFRA for investigation of Chartered Accountants and their firms would extend to listed companies and large unlisted public companies
💵The Central Government can also refer such other entities for investigation where public interest would be involved
💵The Quality Review Board (QRB) will also continue quality audit in respect of private limited companies, public unlisted companies below the prescribed threshold and also with respect to audit of those companies that may be delegated to QRB by NFRA
💵It will consist of a Chairperson, three full-time Members, and one Secretary.

Global Green Growth Institute🌵🌵
🌴GGGI works to produce three major outcomes: adoption and implementation of green growth plans; provision of research for policymakers; and private sector engagement in the implementation of the national green growth plans. The organization uses three approaches to achieve these outcomes: Green Growth Planning & Implementation (GGP&I), Knowledge Development & Management (KDM), and Public-Private Cooperation (PPC).

Systematically Important Banks (D- SIBs)💰💰
🖍After adding the State Bank of India and private lender ICICI, the Reserve Bank of India has listed
HDFC to systemically important banks list.
🖍This means that HDFC has now being considered as too big to fail bank.
🖍A few banks assume systemic importance due to their size, cross-jurisdictional activities,
complexity, lack of substitutability and interconnectedness.
🖍The disorderly failure of these banks has the propensity to cause significant disruption to the
essential services provided by the banking system, and in turn, to the overall economic activity.
🖍Their continued functioning is critical for the uninterrupted availability of essential banking services to the real economy.
What is C-17 Globemaster?✈️✈️

🛩It is a US-manufactured aircraft named after two previous piston-engined military cargo aircraft, the Douglas C-74 Globemaster and the Douglas C-124 Globemaster II.
🛩It is commonly used to perform strategic airlift missions, transporting troops and cargo throughout the world; additional roles include medical evacuation and airdrop duties.
🛩They are operated in diverse terrain – from Himalayan air bases in North India at 13,000 ft to Indian Ocean bases in South India.
Parker solar probe🌕🌕

🌝Parker Solar Probe is a planned NASA robotic spacecraft to probe the outer corona of the Sun
🌝It will approach within 8.86 solar radii from the 'surface' of the Sun.
🌝Parker Solar Probe will swoop to within 4 million miles of the sun's surface, facing heat and radiation like no spacecraft before it.
🌝Parker Solar Probe will provide new data on solar activity and make critical contributions to our ability to forecast major space-weather events that impact life on Earth
🌝Parker Solar Probe has three detailed science objectives:
🌜Trace the flow of energy that heats and accelerates the solar corona and solar wind
🌜Determine the structure and dynamics of the plasma and magnetic fields at the sources of the solar wind
🌜Explore mechanisms that accelerate and transport energetic particles.
India-based Neutrino Observatory (INO)🌑🌑

☄️India-based Neutrino Observatory (INO) is a particle physics research project under construction to primarily study atmospheric neutrinos in a 1,300 meters (4,300 ft) deep cave under Ino Peak near Theni, Tamil Nadu, India
☄️This project is notable in that it is anticipated to provide a precise measurement of neutrino mixing parameters
☄️The project is a multi-institute collaboration and one of the biggest experimental particle physics projects undertaken in India
☄️When completed, the main magnetized iron calorimeter (ICAL) experiment will include the world's largest magnet, four times larger than the 12,500-tonne magnet in the Compact Muon Solenoid detector at CERN in Geneva, Switzerland
☄️The initial goal of INO is to study neutrinos
☄️Neutrinos are fundamental particles belonging to the lepton family. They come in three flavors, one associated with electrons and the others with their heavier cousins the muon and the Tau
☄️Recent experiments indicate that these charge-neutral fundamental particles have finite but small mass which is unknown.
