Snapdragon 6s Gen 4 revealed Budget phones just got a gaming, emulation boost.
Snapdragon 6s Gen 4 (SM6435-AA) is fabbed on Samsung's 4nm process with claims of 36% improved CPU and 59% faster GPU performance. The Kryo CPU features 4x performance cores at up to 2.4 GHz and 4x efficiency cores at 1.8GHz.
The GPU comes with HDR gaming support and OpenGL ES 3.2, OpenCL 2.0 FP, and Vulkan 1.1 support. It also integrates some Snapdragon Elite Gaming features like Variable Rate Shading (VRS) and Game Quick Touch.
SD 6s Gen 4 also supports up to 12 GB LPDDR5X RAM @ 3200MHz and UFS 3.1 storage. On the camera side, the new chip is equipped with a Qualcomm Spectra ISP, which supports up to 200MP sensors and 2K video recording at 30fps. You also get Snapdragon Sound and Bluetooth 5.4 as well as Qualcomm Quick Charge 4+ support.
