Most people learn the wrong way.
They follow Just-In-Case Learning:
Watching long courses, reading everything, preparing for problems that might never come. It feels productive but most of it is forgotten before it’s ever used.
Builders think differently.
They use Just-In-Time Learning:
Start building first. Then when you hit a problem, you learn exactly what you need right when you need it. You apply it immediately, and it sticks.
That’s why they move faster, build more, and improve quicker.
But here’s the catch:
The solution:
Use JIT for building and problem-solving, but combine it with small, consistent deep learning for core concepts (like DSA, fundamentals).

We, Ethiopians, have a different calendar to the rest of the world. I get it that’s cool. But why do we have a different timing ? Like for example it’s now 2 oclock with the GMT + 3 timezone but when we tell it in time we say ከሌሊቱ 8 ሰዓት.. why ?? Why don’t we just say 2 oclock and complications that comes when you live/work in different timezone gets avoided. Every time there’s a program you have to confirm whether it’s the local time or international time. Is there a reason behind it ?

3 days ago I shared that I am very behind on my plan and I was very desperate because I felt like I couldn’t make it. So I pushed harder to achieve my plan, and here is what I have achieved.
No side project. I started a couple of them but couldn’t finish.
No crash course taken. Not a single task done from our final year project.
Social media usage. I am good with this one. It was almost 2 hours per week at some point in the month.
Started a book but not done yet. I am still on the very first pages.
I left my job.
Celebrated Eid. I would give this 2x points because it was way more wonderful than I expected.
So yes, not even 20 percent of the plan is achieved. I FAILED. I won’t give excuses because it was Ramadan and stuff. I still had time to do it if I were a well organized person. So the plans will be transferred to April.
If you are ever looking for a role model for your laziness, I can be one. Follow for more lazy content😐

Social media usage. I am good with this one. It was almost 2 hours per week at some point in the month.
Part of the reason for this is because my algorithm was completely changed because of my location. Like on TikTok, I wasn’t getting even a single video from Ethiopia whether I follow them or not. I have to search for the followers I want to see just to see their content, and even after that the algorithm still sticks to the location. I’m sure I missed some trends and news because I’m a person of TikTok and Reels and that’s where I get my information.
Another thing I noticed is every social media platform like YouTube and TikTok comes with ads. Sometimes this is the benefit of living in a poor country, yes poor, because you’re ad free by default.
Coming back to the algorithm thing, I actually liked that it changed. I want to travel to a place where people have never lived before, like the North Pole, and just live. So I will deactivate and live peacefully but still with social media. Kind of a conflicting idea, but yeah that’s what I want.
