Lock in, guys! The best nights of the year are around the corner.
1, 2, 3… then we skipped and jumped to 20. Time flew and now we are in the last days of Ramadan. Let’s make sure we use the remaining days to compensate for what we missed in the past 20 days.
Let’s close everything and get closer to Allah. Turning off all social media may not be ideal since that’s where we get important updates like classes or work and stuff. But we can reorganize it in a way that won’t affect our time. Pin the channels and groups you actually look up to at the top so you don’t end up doom scrolling.
Put your phone away. Don’t make the first thing you reach for when you wake up and before you sleep your phone. Use the mushaf wherever possible to recite Quran.
Don’t miss layl salats. If you can’t make it every day, at least do on the odd numbered days. Have work or class and you’re busy all day? Anytime you would have been doom scrolling, replace it with time to recite Quran. If you can’t read, at least listen.
And inshallah it will be the best for all of us. Don’t forget me in your prayers. I want evidences from u when making duass for me otherwise… 😁
Haya, bye.
Continue the thread if you’ve got additional suggestions to share.

Hats off to the police in masjid Alharam🫡
It’s estimated that over 11.6 million people in total were in Makkah for Umrah this Ramadan. On the 27th night of Ramadan, a record number of 4.6 million people performed Umrah, reaching the full capacity of Masjid al Haram. Managing such a large crowd is difficult even once, let alone six times a day during prayers for 30 consecutive days. Yet they handled it with patience. And on the last day, today, they are farewelling the pilgrims and gifting children chocolates.
This is another level of hospitality.

But, I will consider it as eidi if you can let my channel hit 300+ subscribers. Possible?🙂

my full name is Abdulfetah Yishak. I go by Abdu, like every person whose name starts with Abdu… deep intro: I am 6 feets long and 87 kg (before ramadan). 23 years old (looks way older tho). I think this deep is enough :)
I am a last-year student at AAiT, electrical and computer engineering (computer stream). I am a software developer by profession. I specialize in backend development.
I am currently out of work because I left from them due to ramadan and umra.
how much I make per month? that’s very unpredictable. I could make way more one month and make none the next month. I am a freelancer, so I can’t give a fixed number. I make enough for my spending tho.

it has always been my dream to become an engineer since I was a child because of my dad, but I never thought I would sit down and write code. when I was in high school, my plan was to be an electrical engineer. I never touched arduino and stuff like that, but I loved physics and math back then—electromagnetism, electrostatics… it has always been interesting to me.
but after I joined campus, I realized that software engineering has more opportunities and is better paying compared to other jobs. also, I don’t think I am smart enough to handle hardcore engineering. but I chose electrical and computer engineering so I could somehow end up having knowledge from both domains while still getting a well-paying job from the software side. that’s how I became a software developer.
about the money, for my life on campus, I think the money I am making is fair enough. I don’t have an iphone 17 pro max or go to desert safari, but at least I am paying for whatever an average person would afford. so I would say for now I am getting enough. but for life after graduation, I doubt it. I need to find a way to make way more money.
