Translation:
Prime Minister Bennett, under public pressure, was forced to abandon the introduction of a "green standard" in shopping malls. This means that unvaccinated citizens will be able to visit shopping malls on a par with vaccinated ones. The reason was the threat of lawsuits by the owners of large shopping centers, who called the measures absurd and discriminatory, public pressure and organizational problems.

Two days ago, Bennett, together with Health Minister Nitzan Horowitz, decided to introduce a "green standard" and a bracelet system in Israeli shopping malls.
This meant that vaccinated Israelis had to receive a paper bracelet at the entrance to the shopping center, which would allow them to move around the mall. Unvaccinated Israelis were allowed access only to shops with essential goods: grocery supermarkets and pharmacies.

This decision caused a storm.
The owners of the shopping center, fearing serious economic losses, gave Bennett an ultimatum: either he cancels the "bracelet system" within a day, or they take action.
The bracelets were immediately compared to yellow stars in concentration camps, the decision was called monstrous discrimination of citizens on the basis of their immune status, and lawyers wondered whether shop assistants and security guards had such authority to check these bracelets from visitors. In addition, it was unclear how to rebuild the shopping center in such a way that unvaccinated citizens could go no further than a supermarket and a pharmacy, and where to get the funds for this. Checking vaccination passports and issuing bracelets at the entrance also had to require additional funding and, moreover, provoke huge queues.
