China has made a major change to its university system by removing or suspending more than 12,200 undergraduate courses in just five years.

Ministry of Education figures show that this restructuring affected more than 30 percent of degree programs across the country. That means a large share of China’s higher education system has been reshaped in a short period of time.

The biggest cuts were made in traditional areas such as arts, humanities, management, and foreign languages. These subjects have long been common choices for students, but officials are now pushing universities to focus more on fields tied to future jobs.

In their place, schools are adding thousands of new majors in artificial intelligence, robotics, advanced manufacturing, and related technologies. Programs such as embodied intelligence are designed to prepare students for careers where AI systems, machines, and physical automation work together.

This shift is also a response to high graduate unemployment. China is trying to align university training more closely with the needs of an AI-driven economy.

The change sends a wider message beyond China. Traditional degrees may no longer be enough on their own, especially as employers demand stronger technical skills and faster adaptation to new industries.

እስከ 50 ሺህ ብር ቅጣት፤ በአዲስ አበባ የመስተንግዶ ሰራተኞች አለባበስ ላይ የወጣው አዲሱ ደንብ ሙሉ በሙሉ ወደ ትግበራ ገባ!

በአዲስ አበባ ከተማ በሚገኙ ባሮች፣ ሬስቶራንቶች እና ሆቴሎች ውስጥ የሚያገለግሉ ሴት የመስተንግዶ ሰራተኞችን አለባበስና ጌጣጌጥ አጠቃቀም የሚደነግገው ሕግ በሙሉ አቅሙ እየተተገበረ እንደሚገኝ ተነገረ።

ደንቡን በማያከብሩ የመስተንግዶ ተቋማት ላይ እስከ 50 ሺህ ብር በሚደርስ የገንዘብ መቀጮ እና ተጨማሪ አስተዳደራዊ እርምጃዎች እንደሚወሰዱ ተመልሷል።

አዲሱ ደንብ ቁጥር 178/2017 በሚከተሉት ጉዳዮች ላይ ጥብቅ ክልከላ ጥሏል፡

1. ከጉልበት በላይ የሆኑ አጫጭር ቀሚሶችን መልበስ፣

2. የደረት ክፍልን ክፍት የሚያደርጉ አልባሳትን መጠቀም፣

3. ከጋብቻ ቀለበት ውጪ ባሉ በሚታዩ የሰውነት ክፍሎች ላይ የሚደረጉ ማናቸውንም ጌጣጌጦች ማድረግ።

የአዲስ አበባ ሆቴልና ቱሪዝም ባለሙያዎች ማኅበር መስራችና ሥራ አስፈጻሚ አባል ናፍቆት ጌታሁን ከአሐዱ ሬድዮ ጋር በነበራቸው ቆይታ እንደገለጹት፤ ቀደም ሲል በዘርፉ ይስተዋሉ የነበሩ የተወሰኑ መለያ ልብሶች (ዩኒፎርሞች) ከማህበረሰቡ ባህልና እሴት ያፈነገጡ ነበሩ።

ይህንን አሰራር ለማስተካከል ማኅበሩ ከአዲስ አበባ ቱሪዝም ኮሚሽን እና ከቱሪዝም ሚኒስቴር ጋር በመቀናጀት ደንቡ እንዲጸድቅና ወደ ትግበራ እንዲገባ ጥረት ሲያደርግ መቆየቱን ጠቁመዋል።

በአሁኑ ወቅት በመስተንግዶ ተቋማት የሚለበሱ መለያ ልብሶች ጨዋነትንና ሙያዊ ብቃትን ያማከሉ እንዲሆኑ እየተደረገ ይገኛል።

ማኅበሩም የመንግስትን ክትትል በመደገፍ የአፈጻጸም ቁጥጥር እያደረገ እንደሆነና፣ ደንቡን በማያከብሩ አካላት ላይ ለቱሪዝም ኮሚሽኑ ሪፖርት የሚያደርግ ቢሆንም እስካሁን የቀረበ ጥሰት አለመኖሩ ተገልጻል።
