Delegates from the University of Ilorin, Nigeria Visit Adama Science and Technology University

The Office of International Relations and Partnerships of Adama Science and Technology University (ASTU) facilitated an official visit for the delegates from the University of Ilorin, Nigeria, on February 7, 2026.

The purpose of the visit is to discuss potential areas of collaboration between the two institutions.

Dr. Lemi Guta, President of ASTU, along with his management team, warmly welcomed the delegates accompanied by H.E. Professor Daniel Kitaw, vice chairperson of ASTU’s Board of Governance, who initiated the partnership between the two institutions.

Mr. Girma Megersa, Executive Officer for Public and International Relations, presented a brief overview of ASTU's background, academic programs, and strategic directions.

Similarly, a representative from the University of Ilorin delivered a short presentation about their university.

Following the presentations, discussion was held focusing on identifying potential areas of collaboration, and partnership that would benefit both institutions. The two parties raised important points regarding mutual interests and future collaboration opportunities.

Finally, the delegates toured ASTU’s facilities and development infrastructures, including the Research Park, ASTU Community School, the Data Centre, laboratories, and the smart ICT Center.

In conclusion, the delegates expressed excitements over observing the highly modern digital technologies, lab facilities, and ICT infrastructures ASTU has owned, which they said shows the real renaissance journey of Africa.

ኮሌጁ ባሳወቀው መሰረት የኢትዮጵያ ከፍተኛ አመራሮች በስብሰባው ላይ የተገኙ ሲሆን ፣ በዋናነት ከኢፌዴሪ አየር ሀይል የመጡ ናቸው። ከነዚህ ከፍተኛ አመራሮች መካከል የተከበሩ የኢፌዴሪ አየር ሀይል ጠቅላይ አዛዥ ሌተናል ጀነራል ይልማ መርዳሳ ተገኝተዋል 🫡🇪🇹👮🏽‍♂።

ውይይቱ በዩኒቨርስቲው ፕሬዚዳንት ዶ/ር ለሚ ጉታ እየተመራ የነበረ ሲሆን ከክቡር የኢፌዴሪ አየር ሀይል ጠቅላይ አዛዥ ሌተናል ጀነራል ይልማ መርዳሳ ጋር የተጠሩት ተማሪዎች ውይይት አድርገዋል።

ክቡር ሌተናል ጀነራሉ የአዳማ ሳይንስ እና ቴክኖሎጂ ዩኒቨርስቲ ፣ ሀገራችን ኢትዮጵያን በብዙ የሚያገለግል እውቀት እና ብቃት ያለው የተማረ የሰው ሀይል የሚያፈራ ትልቅ የትምህርት ተቋም መሆኑን በመጥቀስ እና የኢፌዴሪ አየር ሀይል የሰው ሀይልን በተመለከተ ከዚህ ተቋም ጋር ሲሰራ መቆየቱን እና የዛሬው ውይይትም የዚሁ አካል መሆኑን ተናግረዋል። ክቡር ሌተናል ጀነራሉ ቀጥለው ሲናገሩም ፣ “ለኢፌዴሪ አየር ኃይል የሰው ሀይል ስንፈልግ መጀመሪያ የምንመጣው ወደዚህ ዩኒቨርስቲ ነው ፣ ምክንያቱም አሁን ባለው ነባራዊ ሁኔታ በጣም የሰለጠነ የሰው ሀይል እያፈራ የሚገኘው ይሄ ዩኒቨርስቲ ነው” ሲሉ ተናግረዋል። “አሁን ያለው የውጊያ ስልት እንደድሮው አይደለም ፣ አሁን ላይ ዋናው ነገር ቴክኖሎጂ ነው” ያሉት ሌተናል ጀነራሉ ፣ ይሄንን ቴክኖሎጂ ለመጠቀም እና የተቋሙን ብቃት ከፍ ለማድረግ በሳይንስ እና ኢንጂነሪንግ የዳበረ አቅም ያለው የሰው ሀይል ያስፈልጋል ብለዋል።

በሌላ በኩል የዩኒቨርስቲው ፕሬዚዳንት ዶክተር ለሚ ጉታ ፣ ከዚህ በፊት ዩኒቨርስቲው ብቃት ያላቸውን የተማሩ እና የሰለጠኑ ሰራተኞችን (በአየር ሀይል ውስጥ) አየር ሀይሉ እንዲያፈራ ዩኒቨርስቲው ጉልህ ሚና እንደተጫወተ እና ድጋፍ እንዳደረገ ገልጸዋል።

ክቡር ሌተናል ጀነራሉ ፣ የኢፌዴሪ አየር ሀይል ከሀገራዊ ለውጡ በኋላ ብዙ ማሻሻያዎችን እያደረገ እና በከፍተኛ ደረጃ እያደገ መሆኑን በመጥቀስ ፣ አሁን ላይ ተቋሙን ለማሳደግ እና የሀገሪቱን ሉዓላዊነት የሚያጸና ጠንካራ ተቋም እንዲሆን ለማድረግ ሰፊ ስራዎች እየተሰሩ እንደሆነ ጠቅሰው ፣ ከነዚህም ስራዎች መካከል የተማረ ፣ የሰለጠነ ፣ ብቃት ያለው እና ቆራጥ የሆነ የሰው ሀይል ለማፍራት እንቅስቃሴ እየተደረገ እንደሆነ እና ይህን የሰው ሀይል ለማግኘት በሀገሪቱ ከሚገኙ ከአርባ በላይ ከሚሆኑ ዩኒቨርስቲዎች በቀዳሚነት የሰለጠነ የሰው ሀይል ያፈራል ብለው ወዳሰቡት የአዳማ ሳይንስ እና ቴክኖሎጂ ዩኒቨርስቲ መምጣታቸውን ተናግረዋል።

ክቡር ሌተናል ጀነራሉ ፣ የሚመዘገቡ ተማሪዎች ከሀገር ውስጥ መሰረታዊ ውትድርና ስልጠና ጀምሮ እስከ ውጪ ሀገር ድረስ ሄደው የመሰልጠን እና ሀገራቸውን የማገልገል እድል እንደሚኖራቸውም ገልጸዋል። ተሳታፊ ተማሪዎች የተለያዩ ጥያቄዎችን የጠየቁ ሲሆን ክቡር ሌተናል ጀነራሉ ለተጠየቁ ጥያቄዎች ምላሽ ሰጥተዋል።

በመሆኑም በዚህ ሀገራዊ በሆነ እና የሀገርን ሉዓላዊነት በሚያጸና ተቋም ውስጥ ለመስራት ፍላጎቱ ላላቸው ተማሪዎች ምዝገባ በቅርብ ጊዜ ውስጥ ይጀመራል ተብሏል። እንዲሁም ፍላጎቱ ያላቸው ተማሪዎች በዩኒቨርስቲው ሬጅስትራር ቢሮ በመቅረብ መመዝገብ ይችላሉ የሚል መልዕክትም ተላልፏል።
