The STARK Official Hackathon challenges teams of 2–5 to turn ideas into deployed solutions. Build remotely from Sept 18–Oct 9, with online technical mentors along the way.

A 50,000 ETB prize pool will be distributed across the top three teams, plus additional tools, resources, and opportunities.

On Oct 11, bring your build to ALX Tech Hub, Lideta, to pitch at the in-person finale, followed by the closing ceremony.

🚨 Registration closes at midnight on Sept 18. Once the hackathon starts, registrations will no longer be accepted.

According to the ASTU Academic Calendar, the Summer Semester Internship Report Defense is scheduled for September 23–24, 2026 (Wednesday–Thursday).
Accordingly, all concerned students are requested to make the necessary preparations and comply with the following requirements:
1.      Hard Copy Submission:
Students are required to submit a hard copy of their internship report to the Department Secretary by Monday, September 21, 2026. Please ensure that all reports are submitted within the specified deadline.
2.      In-Person Presentation:
The internship report defense and presentation will be conducted in person. Students are expected to attend physically and present their internship reports before the assigned evaluators. Online or other alternative modes of presentation will not be accepted.
3.      Contacting Supervisors:
All students are strongly advised to contact their respective internship supervisors before the defense date. Students should communicate with their supervisors, confirm the defense arrangements, and obtain any necessary instructions or guidance regarding the evaluation.
4.      Communication with Students:
As class representatives, please ensure that this information reaches all students concerned in your respective classes. Kindly remind students of the submission deadline, in-person presentation requirement, and the importance of communicating with their supervisors before the defense.

Every time we tell you, you guys screw it up. Today, the registration portal might be open. There is no need to rush on the first day; you have an extra day. On the first day of registration, not all courses might be available. So, if you register with only partial courses, you take the risk. It is easy to make corrections, but the campus will not allow you to do so; they make things a bit difficult. I repeat once again: there is no need to rush.

meriAgent is an AI-powered hotel management system we’re building to make running a hotel way easier and smarter.
It brings everything together: PMS, CMS, reservations, rooms, guests, staff, housekeeping, maintenance, revenue, reports, and more.

But the fun part? We gave the hotel its own AI CEO 😂. It can understand what’s happening across the hotel, work with specialized AI agents, answer management questions, generate insights, and help take real actions.
