What?
Двери затворяются::
Самооценка в пассиве::

ROI (Return on Investment)

Ads in the series Poor Nastya cost as much as a wing off a Boeing.
Genius move—selling the broadcast rights before filming even started.
(Secret! I got my stage name straight from binge-watching this series.)
The ratings were... straight-up mind-blowing.
International sales crushed it completely.
Merch flew off the shelves—people were snatching it up with both hands and feet from street kiosks.
Nastya herself (aka Anna, played by Elena Korikova) was fainting left and right.
They tweaked the plot on the fly: killed off a hero—viewers hated it, brought him back—boom, ratings exploded again.
Let's break down the ROI (Return on Investment)
— basically, "how many times did the invested cash pay off."
Formula: (Revenue − Costs) ÷ Costs × 100%.
(50 million − 11.7 million) ÷ 11.7 million × 100% ≈ 327%. That's ROI you only see from Silicon Valley venture startups.
Super simple: invest 1 million, get back 4.3 million.

By January 7th, by🤩 Christmas, everyone’s sick and tired of everyone and everything.
In business, there’s actually a name for this:: information overload.
I don’t want to add to that overload, so I’ll quickly walk you through how it shows up and why it even exists in the first place.
How it shows up (the overload)::
it leaks out even though winter hibernation isn’t technically over yet.
• You read posts even less than you did before the holidays.
• Or you don’t read them at all, you just scroll — because even scrolling gives youoxyg— sorry, dopamine, so it kind of feels like you’ve read something and “Well done, me.”
Why this happens::
our brain simply wasn’t built for a life online, so it cannot keep up. It either shuts down or switches to light mode.
Meaning you only let thebrightest— sorry, it’s Christmas— the most positive and “right” thoughts into your head.
Bottom line:: beinglazy is actually good for you, just not all the time (yes, there are studies on this).

Organizational Behavior
In English:; Do you ever filter yourself?
By filtering, I mean intentionally twisting or reshaping information to confuse someone or simply make yourself look better.
It happens not only in real life but also at work.
For example, an employee might deliberately hide critical details or distort them by presenting facts in a misleading way.
How can information be distorted? Let’s say someone writes in an email that sales have already hit the quota, but in reality, many clients are still in the process of paying. In accounting, this is called accounts receivable — basically, outstanding payments.
Or take a personal example:: after New Year’s, a friend asks how your holidays went, and you only talk about the fun parts, leaving out the embarrassing or unpleasant details. I’m not saying you’re always filtering or hiding things… but most of us do it more often than we think.
Don’t agree? Let’s argue about it in the comments.
This term comes from my Organizational Behavior course.

y / -ie: cat →🤗 kitty, let / -ette: stream → streamlet, ling: duck → duckling (утёнок), Elizabeth → Lizzie, little bird…
🍰 База::
In English::
Hedgie — a cute little hedgehog?
Not quite. It’s also slang for a hedge fund trader.
But the first meaning is indeed a cutesy “hedgehog”.
In Russian we add suffixes like -ик, -очка.
In English they use::
• -y / -ie: cat → kitty, dog → doggie, Elizabeth → Lizzie
• -let: stream → streamlet
• -ling: duck → duckling (a duckling is a baby duck)
• little + noun: little bird
And if we talk business…
A hedge fund is like a VIP😆 casino where only the very rich are allowed in.
The idea is to bet on two opposite outcomes at the same time to reduce risk, but, like with any investment, this can still backfire.
If one side loses, the other is supposed to cushion the blow.
The basics::
People pool their money, and a manager (the hedgie) “plays” with it, using very risky but legal strategies that sometimes look almost illegal from the outside.
They can make a fortune — or lose a fortune.
They are almost going all‑in.
And they have both the tools and the legal permission to do it.
Not bad at all.

〰️ 〰️ 〰️ 〰️ 〰️ 〰️ 〰️
🔤 В итоге что:: 🔤
〰️ 〰️ 〰️ 〰️ 〰️ 〰️ 〰️ 〰️ 〰️ 〰️
In English:: Do you say thank you to neural networks? I’m talking about one incredible fact that not many people know yet.
You don’t have to thank AI. It only wastes extra processing power to handle that prompt (the request).
Here’s what I think: I don’t treat neural networks as living beings, because they officially don’t have feelings (it’s true—the neural network itself said so).
But here’s something incredible: it turns out, based on research, that a neural network gives better answers when you ask politely🔤
And that’s not because it has feelings, but because it’s programmed that way.
The AI gives richer and more complete answers compared to rude or aggressive prompts—and that’s something you might find useful.
The thing is, every unnecessary word only gets in the way of productivity.
I never thank neural networks.
It’s just not programmed into me.
(Though it’s strange, because since childhood we’ve been programmed to be polite. But it depends on the parents.)
According to a Forbes article, many people in America say “thank you” to neural networks—67% of them—and in the UK, 71%.
The same article explains the reasons for this politeness. And it turns out, it isn’t because of childhood manners, but rather out of fear that AI might take over the world.
🔤 So, in the end::🔤
Being polite helps—you get better-quality answers, but not because the AI is kind or grateful for your good manners.
Being polite means building your prompts in a generally friendly tone, not necessarily saying “thank you.”
🔤 And one more thing:: being polite to a neural network can simply help you be a better person.🔤
The most interesting thing is that if you’re really rude to a neural network, it might give you short, less detailed answers—or even refuse to respond in some cases! That’s because neural networks are programmed to smooth things over and avoid escalating conflicts.
💘 Non-trivial &

Aren’t you still working for free on these “free” social networks/apps like Telegram, posting away just like me?
I write everything by hand myself.
Sorry for the super long post [longread].
One book inspired this post—Finance for the People by Paco de Leon. I googled “money books,” and it came up fourth on the list.
Here’s what I took away for myself—and for you::
Traditional “finance” talks about the empirical rule [rule of thumb]…
What?
It says to save 10-30%.
The author even came up with her own law:: Paco’s Law.
This law states that you’ll
spend exactly what you have.
I’ll add that some people spend what they don’t have.
For example, how many folks went into debt because of those infogypsy courses and marathons? Uh…
Paco’s Law goes on: Without limits, you rely on your inner strength (probably meaning your willpower to resist buying stuff).
Recommendation #1: Build a buffer [emergency fund]. You can fill it by cutting back on entertainment.
Recommendation #2: Leave your main bank card at home. No card, no temptations. Avoid places where you could spend a ton.
My take: I agree—if you have zero boundaries, you need a radical strategy shift, likenot leaving the house or sticking strictly to fixed household expenses.
Recommendation #3: Keep your inner hedonist or hedonic treadmill in mind.
That means no matter the positive/negative events, people adapt, and things circle back to baseline.
My take: Sure, eventually most people get their act together… but what if they don’t?
There are opposite scenarios that don’t end happily.
Extreme example: Trump. Nothing’s ever enough for him—money, power. He’s on that hedonic treadmill, chasing a carrot on a stick with even bigger wins ahead.
How do you get off the hedonic treadmill?
Stop spending on absolutely NON-essential stuff (NOT food, NOT utilities) for a while, no matter what.
The book also covers goals.
Goals aren’t the end point—they’re the journey you enjoy every day.
My take: Yeah, otherwise your whole life slips by.
The book stresses consistency. That’s what separates good from great.
Skills build over time.
My take: Yes—like starting to write posts without copywriting skills; eventually, you learn.
Another key point: Save no matter what, even a little, because it’ll be too late later.
My take: It might sound dramatic and off-putting, but saving along the way never hurts.
Another point: Have accounts in multiple banks, especially high-yield savings ones where transfers take a few days.
My take: Totally—for real, that cooling-off period might make you rethink spending.
One more concept: From neuroscience—the window of tolerance. If everything stays within it, you’re good. Outside? It’s a stress test.
To make smart money decisions, stay in that window.
Anything above or below leads to irrational choices from fight-or-flight mode.
Ooh, so interesting!
What grabbed you?

Одна книга вдохновила меня на этот пост — Finance for the People by Paco De Leon.
Paco’s law.

Одна книга вдохновила меня на этот пост — Finance for the People by Paco De Leon.
Paco’s law.

What “lessons” can you pull out of the VAT ❤️ hike?
❤️ How do businesses cling to life?
My opinion:: They push that VAT straight onto the final consumer in the form of higher prices.
❤️ Since demand for essential goods is inelastic (it hardly changes when the price rises), consumers are left with no choice but to dig out their very last cash.
If we zoom into the economics a bit: demand can be elastic (as fickle as this world) for more premium food.
❤️ If Vanya used to buy his groceries at Azbuka Vkusa, now he quietly slides down to Magnoliya.
If companies do not shift that extra VAT burden onto the shoulders of the buyer, they take the hit themselves.
How?
❤️ Their margin gets squeezed, costs go up – and suddenly the break-even point is around the corner, meaning the business is operating at zero profit or, worse, heading towards bankruptcy.
Okay, maybe it will not go all the way to bankruptcy (though never say never), but the VAT hike will force businesses to cut costs somewhere.
And we better pray it is not at the expense of us, ordinary households.
This is a nod to the fact that companies can “save” on labour: skip bonuses, trim hard‑earned salaries, or shave off that last 0.3% of someone’s desired standard of living.
❤️ Not exactly a happy story, but that’ll do

Who are you this Valentine’s Day — an aesthetic mogul, or a “no‑love‑it’s‑just‑marketing” type?
The Aesthetic Mogul::
This type approaches February 14th like a small business. They book a restaurant weeks ahead and set KPIs for the number of roses to deliver.
If the “output” — a happy partner — is achieved, the investment has paid off, ROI is booming, and the love-sales chart is trending exponentially upward.
The Anti‑L’Amour::
The second type proudly declares that Valentine’s Day is a conspiracy cooked up by marketers.
But by the end of the day, they quietly switch sides — buying flowers or sending a Telegram gift (though, honestly, I have no clue who actually gets those — nothing ever lands in my lap).
In business terms, this type loudly trashes the market while secretly buying up junk stocks instead of blue chips.
A metaphor coined by the channel’s author — Business‑Freylina.

February 23 — is it just about socks and shaving foam for you?
A couple of fun facts about men::
The male brain is about 8–10% larger.
I did a bit of research, and both English- and Russian-language sources say completely opposite things about who has more gray matter and who has more white matter.
Hard to believe those “AI gypsies” when the actual sources say the opposite.
And how do men cope with stress?
They retreat into their “caves” — hence the love for garages, video games, and fishing.

🤩 🤩 🤩 🤩 🤩 🤩 🤩 🤩 🤩
New Video:: For businesses like that “No” just means “not yet.” Do you feel cornered by those kinds of sales?
Not the most pleasant feeling in the world.
My new video breaks down the whole essence of aggressive sales tactics.
Of course, no sales means any business will fizzle out—but there has to be ethics and integrity, right?
Chasing like greyhounds hunting prey? That’s just not classy.
The buyer senses they’re valued only as a customer, not as a persona.
