紐卡素成功與太原市於11月2日取消姊妹城市關係。當地自由民主黨市議員Wendy Taylor為當地學生組織Newcastle Stands with Hong Kong遞交聯署並提出與太原取消關係的動議，議案最終一致通過。

巴斯市議會舆江西於11月17日通過取消城市友好關係，自民黨市議員Andy Furse提出取消與江西友好城市關係動議，議案最終獲大比數支持通過。市議員以斷絕與中共政權的關係為由，表達與受中共極權打壓者同行。
