Union Cabinet approved the extension of the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-KISAN) scheme for five more years, stretching its operation from 2026-27 to 2030-31.

PM-KISAN is a Central Sector Scheme providing ₹6,000 annually in three equal installments directly to landholding farmer families.

Funding: 100% funded by the Central Government of India (Central Sector Scheme).

Financial Benefit: ₹6,000 per year distributed in three equal installments of ₹2,000 every four months.

'Surya' (FSS-1) is India's first indigenously designed and built Fleet Support Ship (FSS). It was officially launched oby Defence Minister Rajnath Singh at the Hindustan Shipyard Limited (HSL) in Visakhapatnam.
