Pretty bizarre how the government of Ukraine is handing out 10,000 automatic rifles to civilians, as if guns alone make an effective military force. Does the corrupt leadership of Ukraine really expect citizens to run into the streets and engage Russian squads ad hoc, with no comms, no unit cohesion, no air support, no body armor, etc?

Sounds like a suicide mission. If they wanted citizens to have guns and know how to use them, maybe they should have LEGALIZED gun ownership long ago.
