According to AAA Monday, the average price for a gallon of regular gas in the Golden State is $4.68, surpassing previous records set in 2008 and 2012.
In comparison, the national average price for a regular gallon of gas is $3.41. Additionally, many gas stations in the Golden State have prices for a gallon of regular gas at nearly $6 or more.
