The United States Department of Homeland Security’s Customs and Border Protection is planning to require visitors from countries on the Visa Waiver Program to provide up to five years of their social media history, along with other personal data as part of the entry program, according to a CBP proposal posted to the Federal Register.

This requirement is part of a broader effort to enhance "SECURITY" and vetting for travelers entering the country.
