During a conversation on November 21, Trump told Maduro that he had one week to leave with his family to a destination of his choosing.

The deadline passed on Saturday, prompting Trump to announce the closure of Venezuela’s airspace.

According to the report, during the 15-minute call, Maduro agreed to leave with his family on the condition that:

🔴 All sanctions and legal proceedings against him, his family, and roughly one hundred state officials be lifted

🔴 He also proposed that his Vice President, Delcy Rodriguez, serve as interim president until elections are held.

Trump rejected most of Maduro’s demands, and since then Maduro has requested another conversation.
