🇮🇱 ‘Not Even the Nazis Did This’: Former Hostage Rom Braslavski Recounts Ordeal in Gaza Captivity

In an Interview with Channel 13’s Hazinor program, released hostage Rom Braslavski revealed:

"He (the captor) says to me: ‘Listen, if you convert to Islam, we’ll bring you lots of food, you’ll live with us' & I told him, ‘I was born a Jew, I’ll die a Jew.’ That's when it got much worse.

He came with a note & said, ‘It says here to blindfold you. These are orders from above’. He tied the blindfold over my eyes. Made sure I couldn’t see even a drop of light: tied one shirt around my eyes, & another shirt over it.

Now, my bathroom breaks were only three times a day: 9AM, 4PM, & 9PM. It was a nightmare. I had to hold my urine for hours. He also cut down my drinking water to half a liter a day.

A week passed & I was still blindfolded. After a week, he said, ‘There’s another letter. It says to block your ears.’ He came in holding 2 stones. He took off the blindfold just to show them to me. He was happy, grinning. He said, ‘Look what I brought you. I found these outside, looked for them just for you.’

He pushed one stone into my ear. It didn’t fit well. So he took a nail & started forcing it in with the nail, deeper & deeper.

I screamed, but he didn’t care. He kept pushing it in, deeper. Then he moved to the other ear & did the same thing. He left the stones inside, the pain was coming from deep inside. Then he retied the blindfold even tighter, wrapping it on top again. I still have a hematoma here to this day. He tied it as tight as he could. It pressed on me so hard that blood stopped flowing to my head. I could feel pounding in my skull, my brain was throbbing, I could feel my own blood, the pain! I’ve never in my life felt pain like that. It’s pain I can’t even describe.

And no food, not even a pita a day anymore & that went on for 3 weeks: blindfolded, no bathroom, hungry, in agony, with stones in my head!

Then he came to me again & said, ‘There’s another letter, it says to tie you up & torture you.’

They took me into the apartment. They tied me to the wardrobe, one hand inside the closet, & one leg to the far end of it, & that’s how I was, 24/7.

After 10 days - I was starving... I decided that if I reached 21 days, I'll kill myself, & said: I don’t care anymore, I’ll do whatever it takes to get food. A friend once taught me how to get out of handcuffs. I managed to free myself & started moving my body. I was terrified. I searched the kitchen for something to eat, there was nothing. So, I decided to make some pasta. I turned on the gas, but then the gas stopped working.

So, I decided to make a fire. I took some books, went to the bathroom, & started burning them. The smoke started spreading outside the house, & then Gazans saw it & came into the house.

I threw myself under the bed & covered myself with a blanket so they wouldn’t see me. But they came in, pulled me out from under the bed & beat me brutally. It was so bad I could barely walk or stand for maybe 2 weeks afterward. They beat me for a full hour, punches, kicks to the face, one of them grabbed a wooden pole & was beating me on the head. A real beating to death. But it was only the beginning, then everything became much worse.

They stripped me of all my clothes, my underwear, everything. They tied me up while I was completely naked. I was torn apart, dying, with no food.

I prayed to God, ‘Please, save me, get me out of this already' & you just say to yourself, What the f***?

It was sexual violence & its main purpose was to humiliate me, to crush my dignity & that’s exactly what [they] did. It’s hard for me to talk about that part specifically. I don’t like to talk about it. It’s hard. It was the most horrific thing. It’s something even the Nazis didn’t do. During Hitler’s time, they wouldn’t have done things like this.

Shortly after his release, Braslavski’s mother Tami told media outlets her son was whipped & beaten “with things that I will not even mention.”

Assessments within the IDF & Israeli Police regarding her disappearance & apparent first supposed suicide attempt concluded it was merely a diversion to cover up the disappearance of her personal phone & dozens of other pieces of evidence.

This prompted her to resign. Following her resignation, Tomer-Yerushalmi was arrested by Israeli police for serious allegations including obstructing an investigation related to her leaking sensitive materials vis-à-vis a Sde Teiman video allegedly showing Palestinian MUSLIM TERRORIST detainee "abuse" at a detention facility, for concerns she may have destroyed evidence, & for lying to the Israeli Supreme Court.

Last Friday, the court released Tomer-Yerushalmi to 10 days of house arrest. As seen in this video, upon her release, Tomer-Yerushalmi refused to answer any questions from reporters.

The judges allowed her to leave her home, subject to prior notice, for meetings with her lawyers, under a bail guaranteed by her brother.

As part of the release conditions, Tomer-Yerushalmi was prohibited from contacting other individuals involved in the case for 55 days.

This morning Magen David Adom paramedics were called to Yifat Tomer-Yerushalmi's home by her family to provide her with medical treatment while she was conscious, after she took sleeping pills in another apparent "suicide attempt", or should we say another lame attempt to garner sympathy & play the victim card, a prototypical move that leftists make whenever they're caught in their crimes & lies.

She was evacuated to & hospitalized at Ichilov Hospital in Tel Aviv. Her life is NOT in danger & she remains under investigation.
