The US conducted a test launch of an unarmed Minuteman III intercontinental ballistic missile from Vandenberg Base in California, according to the US Space Force.
The missile flew about 4,200 miles to the Reagan Test Site on Kwajalein Atoll in the Marshall Islands. Officials said the drill was part of routine weapons checks and confirmed the “reliability and readiness” of the aging nuclear system.
