🇮🇱 Israel Launches Offensive to Occupy Subdue Gaza City

Axios reports that the IDF has begun its ground offensive to seize Gaza City, as part of "Operation Gideon's Chariots B", after the initial stages begun on August 4

An Israeli offical: Enough Gazans have evacuated Gaza City to allow the military operation to proceed.

Defense Minister Israel Katz:

Gaza is burning. The IDF is striking with an iron fist at the terror infrastructure, and IDF soldiers are fighting bravely to create the conditions for the release of the hostages and the defeat of Hamas. We will not relent and will not retreat - until the mission is complete.


IDF Spokesperson in a statement:

"Hamas has established the largest human shield in history. We hold extensive areas of the city of Gaza."

Trump said,

"Hamas will be in big trouble if it uses hostages as human shields."

Netanyahu:
