STEVE'S TAKE: I got to wondering about my Dad getting his thyroid tested for cancer because of Doctors finding two nodules on his thyroid. He had mentioned to me about how thyroid issues are hereditary & run in our family.

Upon doing more research, I found out Mounjaro (tirzepatide) carries a boxed warning for the risk of thyroid tumors.

It is not recommended for individuals with a personal or family history of medullary thyroid carcinoma or multiple endocrine neoplasia syndrome type 2. So, why the heck did my Dad's doctor tell him to take this Type 2 diabetes/weight-loss drug⁉️

It makes me upset, just like how they told people to take the COVID vaccines that have all these negative side effects... clearly medical malpractice on both accounts. The Doctors failed to consider his health history & the associated risks. If I were him, I would sue the doctors/hospitals accordingly.

Of course, my Dad instead gets mad at me for providing him with this information and said that he

"doesn't have tumors on his thyroid. He has nodules."

He went on to say that

"nodules are not tumors," 🤦🏻‍♂

to which I replied saying "Actually, technically speaking, a nodule is a type of tumor, specifically a small abnormal growth that can occur in various tissues, including the lungs. Nodules can be benign (noncancerous) or malignant (cancerous), and their characteristics help determine their nature."

He went on to make light of the situation saying,

"It's only from metalloric tumors (certain kinds of tumors Mounjaro says on the box not to use it if you have or had them)... I never had them. Not the kind I have.... medullary thyroid carcinoma. Which I don't or never had.

I replied, "I know you're saying you don't have it, haven't had it, & hopefully, of course, with the tests they're doing, they won't say you now have it... That's what I was getting at."

He said,

"I know all about it Steve."

He knows so much about it that he doesn't even know how to spell "Monjaro" or "Mongaro" right (those are the ways he's been spelling it in our texts) & he didn't even realize that nodules are tumors.

I don't share this with all of you to be cruel to my father, but rather, to prove a point about what I'm dealing with out here & to inform you all in hopes that you don't repeat this nonsense behavior that I'm dealing with with my father with your kids.
