A UK resident returned home from visiting the U.S. to find an “official investigation” opened against him—just for watching TV without a license. Authorities warned it’s a criminal offense to watch or record live TV without a paid license on any device. He joked,

The UK should be uniting to remove these treacherous people from power now. Instead, everybody wants to make videos like it's a big joke. I guess as long as you get enough views, it doesn't matter that your freedom is being eroded.
I also find it interesting towards the end of the video when he had the opportunity to tear up the form, he only crumpled it up and tossed it over his shoulder instead. To me, that means that he could just turn off the camera, go get the form & reconsider whether he complies & pays for a license or not.
