According to Reuters, Iran has rejected the U.S. proposal without offering any counterproposal.
Iran has rejected Oman's invitation to a fifth round of talks with the US, which was scheduled to take place in Rome on Friday, TheNationalNews reported, citing an Iranian source.
Iran refuses to transfer its stockpile of highly enriched uranium abroad, an Iranian official tells Reuters.

The reason is the US insistence on "zero enrichment" of uranium, which makes Iran doubt the usefulness of the talks. The source noted that Iran does not want further talks to fail, and that without an agreement on uranium enrichment, there will be no agreement.
