Stock futures are absolutely soaring as the U.S. and China have agreed to lower tariffs by 115% on each other for 90 days.
The US just cut its average tariffs on Chinese goods from 145% to 30%, and China cut its average tariffs on US imports from 125% to 10%.

However, it also seems to discourage and contradict the whole Made in the U.S.A. movement of the Trump Administration because now China doesn't have to pay such high tariffs to import it's products into the United States. That decreases the likelihood that Chinese companies would build plants and factories here in the United States and make products here to avoid tariffs. In turn, that means fewer, not more jobs for Americans.
I suppose there's always a give and take with these things. So, I'm kind of torn on this deal a bit.
