🇺🇸 Worcester, Massachusetts Politician Etel Haxhiaj Assaulted ICE, Local Officers During Chaotic Arrest of Accused Violent Illegal Immigrant: Police Union

A Massachusetts police union is calling for charges against a City Councilmember who allegedly assaulted local and federal officers — and incited a caught-on-video chaotic protest of an Immigration and Customs Enforcement arrest of an accused violent criminal.

Etel Haxhiaj is an immigrant from Albania and the first Muslim to serve on the Worcester City Council. Haxhiaj, who represents Worcester’s District 5, helped incite the mob into assaulting ICE officers and cops during the Department of Homeland Security’s apprehension in a suburban neighborhood that escalated out of control Friday, the Worcester Police Patrolman’s Union said in a statement obtained by The Post.

“Etel Haxhiaj incited aggression towards the police during the incident. This councilor participated in the conduct of the unruly crowd and eventually assaulted both Worcester police and federal law enforcement officers on scene,”

the union said in a statement. “Her behavior also emboldened others to act in this manner.

🇺🇸 🇮🇱 Edan Alexander to Be Released on Monday, Senior US Official Says

Witkoff was kept in the loop about talks a 3rd-party mediator held with Hamas that managed to convince the terror group to free the 21-year-old hostage unconditionally after weeks of pushback.

Hostage soldier Edan Alexander is expected to be released by Hamas at around 6:30 p.m. Israeli time on May 12th, though there may be delays.

Hamas will hand over Alexander to the Red Cross, reportedly in southern Gaza's Khan Younis. No release ceremony is expected to be held by Hamas.

After being handed over to Red Cross representatives, Alexander will be brought to IDF special forces inside the Gaza Strip, and from there taken to a facility at the Re’im base.

At the IDF facility near Re’im, Alexander will receive an initial physical and mental checkup, and meet with members of his family who will be waiting there. He will then be airlifted to Sourasky Hospital in Tel Aviv.
