US Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth has canceled his visit to Israel early next week.
Hegseth will join President Trump's trip to Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, and Qatar.
Only in the event of a hostage deal or other breakthrough is it estimated that he will arrive in Israel.
This would have been Hegseth's first trip to Israel since he began his role as defense secretary.

The process of implementing the humanitarian plan in Gaza has begun according to the principles set by the President.
The food will be distributed in a way that Hamas cannot get its hands on. There will be no danger to human life.
More from the ambassador: Huckabee: Private companies will provide protection for the employees of the organizations that distributed the food. The IDF will be on the perimeter. This is not an IDF operation. The operation is intended only for people who need it.
Huckabee explained that the implementation of the plan does not depend on a ceasefire agreement, but “only on our ability to implement it and nothing else.” However, he noted that a date for the start of the plan has not yet been set.

Yesterday (Thursday), a terrorist was identified exiting a tunnel shaft near the troops & was eliminated. In addition, in order to remove an immediate threat, the IAF struck a terrorist & a structure from which anti-tank missiles were fired toward IDF troops.
In southern Gaza, IDF troops are continuing to operate from the air & ground, & dozens of Hamas terror targets were struck overnight.
Over the past 24 hours, the IAF struck approximately 60 terror targets in the Gaza Strip, including terrorists, military structures, weapons storage facilities, & more.

Newark Mayor Ras Baraka was arrested Friday at an ICE Immigration Detention Center where he was protesting its opening, a federal prosecutor said.
In a statement, DHS said that the lawmakers had not asked for a tour of the facility, contrary to witnesses' accounts. DHS said as a bus carrying detainees was entering the facility, “a group of protestors, including two members of the U.S. House of Representatives, stormed the gate and broke into the detention facility.”
