Japan's Sakurajima volcano erupts again: 54th time this year
This morning, Mount Sakurajima, located in Kagoshima Prefecture on Japan’s Kyushu Island, erupted for the 54th time this year.
The volcanic plume reached a height of 2,600 meters, but no volcanic rocks were ejected. The Japan Meteorological Agency has issued a Level 3 alert, warning against approaching the volcano.
This morning, Mount Sakurajima, located in Kagoshima Prefecture on Japan’s Kyushu Island, erupted for the 54th time this year.

A short while ago, a strong magnitude 4.6 earthquake hit 34 km (21 mi) away from Borujen, Chaharmahal and Bakhtiari Province, Iran, in the early morning of Sunday.
The earthquake was felt, at a depth of 10 kilometers, below a 12,000-foot mountain, in western Iran, with only one large peak for the quake on the seismograph & without immediate aftershocks.
This is leading inquiring minds to wonder if this could possibly be the result of yet another underground Iranian nuclear weapon test inside the mountains.
Since the 4.6 quake (which happened approximately 10 hours ago), there have been two more earthquakes reported in Iran, a 4.3 (Mohr, Iran) & a 3.4 in Tabas, Iran.
Whether or not these are separate quakes or aftershocks, is unclear.
SIDE NOTE: This comes on the heels of a similiar Magnitude 3.9 Earthquake reported in southern Iran on Friday.
