The 4 caskets with the bodies of the deceased hostages were handed over to the Red Cross in the southern Gaza Strip & then handed to the Israeli side & a short Jewish ceremony presided by the Chief Rabbi of the IDF.

A short while ago, IDF and ISA forces brought the coffins of the four deceased hostages over the border into Israel, and they are being taken to the National Institute of Forensic Medicine to undergo an identification procedure (to determine if these are indeed the remains of the late Oded Lifshitz, Shiri , Kfir and Ariel Bibas before a final confirmation of their deaths is given). IDF representatives are accompanying their families at this difficult time.
