🇧🇩 Muslims Set Ablaze Hindu Houses in Bangladesh

On February 14th in the Rangpur district of Bangladesh & in Amtali Village, Chattogram district, Muslim assailants set fire to the houses of Hindu minority families resulting in the complete destruction of the houses.

👉 Several houses were turned to ashes. The exact figures are yet to be known.

🐮 The cowshed nearby was also burned, and several cows perished in the blaze.

Tensions surrounding Bangladesh's Hindu minority have raised serious concerns among Indian officials.

🗣 "With regard to the treatment of minorities in Bangladesh, it has been a source of concern. There have been multiple incidents of attacks on them. We have drawn our concern to their attention," Jaishankar said addressing Lok Sabha.

👉 Recently, Bangladesh acknowledged 88 incidents of communal violence against minorities, primarily Hindus, following the ouster of then-premier Sheikh Hasina in August.
