STEVE'S TAKE: On one hand they're telling and selling us on the fact that the deep state won't get acces to U.S. taxpayers' money to fund or auto-fund things we don't want, need or like (i.e. Islamic terrorist countries and interests) which influences the world in a way that we don't want. Obviously, when the left is using this organization to push the interests of the left, then it's problematic because of their evil agenda(s). But that can be said for any organization and anything really. However, if you're just becoming the left and still pretending you're the right to people while removing America's dominance and ability to influence things in the world,  then that's self destructive, idiotic, and treacherous behavior.

Our fathers and forefathers fought and died in wars so that America would have the ability to influence things in the world instead of our enemies who are often a bunch of savages. If we acknowledge that we're not the only power, then that means we are losing and in ways this seems to be us weakening ourselves and empowering our foes.

I'm not saying to be in denial of this supposed new world shift, but if we were like Americans of old, then we'd try to Make America Great Again, not admit defeat, throw in the towel, and shift to globalism.

Why not just have oversight and assure the USAID is used for good instead of evil? Why would we remove our own ability to influence the world when we are still the world superpower? Why would these people who are supposedly on "the right" be pushing a "post American (New) World Order"?

You can either view it as decline - because it does unquestionably look like the end of the American empire - or as avoiding further decline: controlled withdrawal from imperial commitments in order to focus resources on core national interests rather than being forced into an even messier retreat at a later stage. I don't like HOW this is going down. This is a push towards the left and globalism yet again by the Trump Administration.
