Byzantine Monastery With Mosaic Inscription from Deuteronomy Discovered Near Kiryat Gat

An ancient Christian monastery has been discovered north of Kiryat Gat, the Israel Antiquities Authority (IAA) announced in a press release.

“The monastery is dated to the Byzantine period (5th-6th centuries CE), and it is part of an ancient site that already existed during the Roman period and continued for approximately 600 years,”

IDF forces withdrew in recent hours from the western sector in southern Lebanon - from Naqoura and other areas before the end of the 60-day trial period of the ceasefire. This is the IDF's most significant withdrawal since the signing of an agreement with the Lebanese government.

Yesterday, the political cabinet authorized the IDF to withdraw from southern Lebanon. This IDF withdrawal occurs during the visit of American envoy Amos Hochstein to Beirut.

🇫🇮 🇷🇺 Russian 'Shadow' Ship Raided After 'Sabotaging Undersea Cable' Between Two NATO Members

Finnish authorities raided a ship with alleged links to Russia that has been accused of rupturing a key source of communication in the Baltic Sea.

According to Finland's National Bureau of Investigation, the anchor traces stretch more than 60 miles on the sea bed.

The vessel now has a missing anchor and has been detained by Finnish law enforcement who bordered the vessel from a helicopter at the port of Kilpilahti.

"The trail ends where the ship has raised the anchor chain, and from there to the east [the trail] stretches for several dozen, if not almost a hundred kilometers," said Sami Paila, the NBI chief.
