On 25 September, China test-fired an intercontinental ballistic missile (ICBM). This was the first time Beijing publicly announced an ICBM test in the Pacific in more than 4 decades.

Taiwan said there was an “intensive execution of missile launches & other training exercises.”

The Philippines recently identified & monitored a record-setting 251 Chinese ships within its exclusive economic zone.

Over the weekend, China carried out a fresh round of military exercises (patrols, recon, & early warning) inside the Philippines’ EEZ near Scarborough Shoal.
