SIDE NOTE: The IDF spokesman issued a new evacuation notice in Arabic to all residents of southern Lebanon, the Bekaa and the Dahiehin Beirut.

“If you are near Hezbollah property (military means, facilities or any other facility belonging to Hezbollah).
For your safety and the safety of your families, we ask you to stay away from the area and not return until further notice.”

Isolated Towns Without Power Or Internet After Helene

Helene caused dozens of deaths and billions in damage across the Southeast. Though landfall was in Florida, flash flood emergencies extended all the way in Appalahia.

Landslides and flooding isolated parts of western North Carolina, leaving some residents stranded.

North Carolina Governor Roy Coooper said,

"With the rain that they had already been experiencing before Helene's arrival, this is one of the worst storms in modern history for parts of western North Carolina."

Not only are roads cut off-for many, cell and internet service is out as well.

Thousands of people were rescued, including at least 58 plucked by helicopter from a Tennessee hospital roof.

Atlanta received a record 11.12 inches of rain in 48 hours, leaving only car roofs visible in some areas.

Millions of homes and businesses lost power across a wide swathe of the Southeast.

Hurricane Helene has caused at least 52 deaths, billions of dollars of damages, and left more than 3 million people without power.
