U.S. Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin Revokes Plea Deal for Accused 9/11 Mastermind & Accomplices

Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin on Friday revoked a plea agreement made days earlier with the accused mastermind of the 9/11 terrorist attacks and two accomplices.

The plea agreement, announced Wednesday, would have spared the three men from receiving the death penalty.

Instead, Austin relieved the overseer of the war court at Guantanamo Bay on Friday and announced in a memo that he had assumed control as the convening authority for military commissions.

“I have determined that, in light of the significance of the decision to enter into pre-trial agreements with the accused in the above-referenced case, responsibility for such a decision should rest with me as the superior convening authority under the Military Commissions Act of 2009,”

Austin wrote in the memo addressed to retired Brigadeer General Susan K. Escallier.

Under the agreement, Mohammed and accomplices Walid bin Attash and Mustafa al-Hawsawi would have avoided capital punishment, according to a letter that prosecutors sent to families of 9/11 victims, instead serving up to life in prison.

Why was this guy hired to be in a position such as this if he was going lighten their sentences making them avoid capital punishment? Did the people who died on 9/11 get to avoid death? An Israel Antiquities Authority excavation in the Har Hotzvim high-tech industrial zone of Jerusalem has recently brought to light a massive ancient stone quarry. This site, situated north of the old city of Jerusalem, is one of the largest ever discovered in the city.

"Most of the stones extracted here were huge rock slabs, measuring about 2.5 meters in length, 1.2 meters in width, and 40 centimeters in thickness,"

said Michael Chernin and Lara Shilov, the IAA excavation directors.

“Each of these blocks weighed approximately two-and-a-half tons! The enormous size of these stones suggests they were intended for use in one of Jerusalem’s many royal construction projects during the late Second Temple period, starting under the reign of King Herod the Great between 37-4 B.C. Historical records indicate that Herod’s projects in Jerusalem included the expansion of the Temple Mount and the Temple itself,"

the archaeologists added.

"Furthermore, during Herod's reign, several grand public buildings, palaces, and fortifications were built throughout the city, necessitating a large supply of high-quality construction stones. Monumental building projects continued under his successors, including the significant construction of the city’s "Third Wall" by Herod's grandson, King Agrippa I, who ruled between 37-44 A.D.”

It dates back to the late Second Temple period, around the 1st century A.D., which is the Roman period.

🇪🇸 3 Murdered, 2 Beheaded in Valencia, Spain in 72 Hours

A total of 3 people have been murdered in 72 hours in & around the city of Valencia with all victims having their throats slit.

2 men, one believed to be an Algerian national & another described as black, fled after eyewitnesses saw them attack the first victim, a 40-year-old man, with a knife. His body was left nearly decapitated on a tram line.

A second male victim was found beheaded in Carcaixent, just south of Valencia, on Thursday night.
