Israel Defense Forces announced Monday evening that Division 162 has effectively defeated 2 out of Hamas’ remaining 4 battalions, Yabna and East Rafah, and has gained operational control of 60-70% of Rafah's territory.
The most sophisticated tunnel network in the entire Gaza Strip has been located and 550 Hamas fighters confirmed killed in it. The IDF said its forces are working to complete the mission of destroying Hamas.
IDF forces are advancing towards the center of Rafah, while shelling heavily towards the northern areas of the city.
