- Commander Arnon Zamora led the team in breaking into the building where the 3 abductees were held (Noa was held in another building about 200 meters away), in the fight with the terrorists Zamora was injured and pronounced dead at the hospital
- The abductees were held by Hamas guards in the homes of Arab families (Hamas paid the families to hold the abductees - to teach you that there are no innocents)
- The fighters entered Nusirat in a truck and a vehicle bearing Gaza license plates
- Many terrorists from Nusirat shot at the force, including firing anti-tank missiles, a shootout ensued from which many Gazan Arabs were killed
- The incident happened near the market in Nusirat
- The rescue vehicle was damaged, caught fire and got stuck
- Troops of the 98th Division: Paratroopers, Kfir, 7th Brigade, Givati Patrol and 13th Fleet invaded Nusairat from several directions under heavy air force bombardment, fire from helicopters, fire from navy ships and fire from UAVs and brought the abductees to an improvised helipad
