EXPLOSIVE Volcano Eruption On Caribbean Island Causes Evacuation

An explosive volcano eruption occurred on the Caribbean Island of St Vincent on Friday. Over 16,000 people were ordered to evacuate their homes near the La Soufriere volcano.

Experts say the first explosion shot ash over 32,000 feet high as lightning crackled in the sky. The volcano has been dormant since 1979 but became active last December. No deaths or injuries have been reported.
