Turkey Halts All Trade With Israel; Jerusalem Denounces 'Dictator' Erdogan

Another deterioration in Turkey-Israel relations...

After Turkish President Erdogan announced today the blockade of Turkish ports for the export and import of produce to Israel, Foreign Minister Israel Katz responded and said "this is how a dictator acts who tramples on the interests of the Turkish people and businessmen and ignores international trade agreements."

Katz added: "I instructed the director general of my office to hold an immediate discussion with all relevant parties in the government in order to create alternatives to trade with Turkey, at the level of local production and imports from other countries. Israel has a strong economy!

Erdogan is probably sure that there will be a ceasefire and therefore declares the cessation of trade with Israel. What does he earn? The Arabs and Muslims will praise him for this move. Once
ceasefire will begin, he will have an excuse to return to trade with Israel.
