Since the Balfour Declaration and the end of the First World War, it has been Arab Palestinian leaders who have rejected a two-state solution on multiple occasions.
And it was Hamas’ barbarity on October 7 which has set back the goal of a two-state solution.
Hamas vowed to repeat their savagery many times over until Israel is annihilated and the Jews of Israel are driven into the sea.
Until Hamas is defeated, a two-state solution isn’t even conceivable because Hamas will always pose an existential threat to Israel.
This reality makes the Foreign Minister’s remarks last night utterly illogical, ill-timed and inappropriate.

An ally who has shared intelligence with us and thwarted terrorist attacks against our own interests, including against members of the Australian Defence Force.

As Argentina approaches 30 years since the deadliest terrorist attack on its soil was carried out, the country’s highest criminal court, in a significant and historic decision, found the Islamic Republic of Iran responsible for the bombing of both the AMIA Jewish community center, which killed 85 Jews and non-Jews, and the bombing of the Israeli embassy in Buenos Aires, which killed 29. Hundreds more were injured in the bombings. The court, which declared Iran to be a terrorist state, determined the attacks are classified as "crimes against humanity." It found that Iran sought to use "extreme pressure" on Argentina – by massacring civilians - to reverse a decision Buenos Aires took to cancel technical nuclear cooperation contracts with Tehran.
Victims in Argentina and around the world deserve justice and truth. Using proxies like Hezbollah, the Islamic Republic has sought to evade accountability for decades for these and other savage acts of terrorism. Iran can deny its role if it wishes but the world does not believe it. Russian forces established two more new observation points on the border with the Israeli Golan, and Russian forces were stationed at a military site belonging to the Syrian army at - Tel Meshra, and the other point at Tel Alkarem, west of the town of Jabba in the center of the Quneitra district.
This increases the number of Russian observation points near the border with the Israeli Golan to 14 points.
This is in the framework of the Russian attempt to reduce the level of tensions in the region, between groups working with the Lebanese Hezbollah and Israel.
Israel has attacked targets in Syrian territory 79 times since the Israeli war in Gaza began, 65 of which were against the southern region of Syria in the districts of Damascus, Damascus Rif, Quneitra, Daraa and Sweida alone, and only 14 attacks on targets in the other districts in Syria.
On April 3, Russian forces installed an observation point in the area of the western plains of the town of Al-Malaka - which is located in the western countryside of the Quneitra district, near the border with the Israeli Golan.
