The Iranians are shocked!
The above pics/videos show the destruction of the building adjacent to the official Iranian embassy & the destroyed Iranian consulate itself. There are reports of casualties (6 dead & others injured).
Reportedly, General Muhammad Reza Zahedi (Commander of Quds Force in Syria & Lebanon for the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps), was targeted & killed in the attack. In the past, Zahedi was the commander of the ground forces & air forces of the Iranian Revolutionary Guards. He also served as deputy commander of the Operations Division in the Iranian Revolutionary Guards.
In addition, Ziad Nakhle (head of Islamic Jihad) is said to have been killed.
Iran's Ambassador to Syria:
"We will respond to the crime committed by the Zionist entity."
