The subject of the day after the war in Gaza is still very much under discussion and debate, both internationally and within Israel. 

The controversy over the recent conference in Jerusalem, "Settlements Bring Security and Victory," which called for the creation of Jewish settlements in Gaza after the war, indicates how complicated the issue is even within Israel. The conference was attended by several ministers and coalition members of Knesset.

Over the weekend, the Israel Defense Forces continued the large-scale operation in Khan Younis’ Nasser hospital that begun Thursday, Hamas terrorists launched rockets at the Israeli city of Ashkelon on Saturday, and Hamas sources indicated that the group would suspend negotiations over a new hostage deal.

Hamas sources told the Qatari state-owned outlet al-Jazeera that the terror group intends to suspend ongoing negotiations with Israel over a hostage release deal until humanitarian aid is brought to the northern Gaza Strip.

Hamas Order of Battle Update

The Houthis have struck the British-owned oil tanker Pollux with a missile.

The tanker was transporting Russian oil from the Russian Black Sea port city of Novorossiyskand was on its way to bring the oil to a refinery in Paradip, India.

Palestinian Authority Prime Minister Mohammad Shtayyeh told participants at the annual Munich Security Conference on Saturday that the PA government is ready to form a unity government with Hamas.

Shtayyeh also said that Russia had invited all the Palestinian factions to a meeting in Moscow on Feb. 26.

“Russia has invited all Palestinian factions, who will be meeting on the 26 of this month in Moscow. We will see if Hamas is ready to come to the ground with us,” Shtayyeh said at the conference.
