As daily skirmishes between Hezbollah and Israel continue, the Israeli Air Force struck several Hezbollah targets deep inside Lebanon, including an airport built by Iran, the IDF announced on Thursday evening.

Meanwhile, Lebanon Foreign Minister Abdallah Bou Habib said if war was to break out, it wouldn’t come from Lebanon – while at the same time praising his government’s good ties with Hezbollah terror forces, calling them “the resistance.”

The strike on the airstrip in the Qalaat Jabbur mountain range, some 20 km (almost 14 miles) from the Israeli border, came in response to an earlier drone attack on Israeli targets, for which Hezbollah claimed responsibility.

Defense Minister Yoav Gallant spoke on Thursday evening with soldiers from the Yahalom unit of the Combat Engineering Corps, where he praised the units results during Operation Iron Swords.

“There is nowhere that I go in Gaza - Gaza City, the central camps, Khan Younis, everywhere I go, where I don’t meet fighters that talk about Yahalom,” Gallant said.

❗️Vladimir Putin's statements on the downed Il-76

President of the Russian Federation stated that Kiev knew the Russian Il-76 was transporting Ukrainian POWs to the exchange location. The President referred to the strike on the Il-76 as a crime committed by the Kiev regime.

Missiles that shot down the Il-76 with Ukrainian military prisoners were launched from Ukrainian territory. Putin emphasized that the strike was carried out by Ukraine's air defense systems.

The strike on the Il-76 was either carried out by American or French systems, and this will be accurately determined in the coming days. The results of the investigation into the crash will be available in a couple of days, noted the Russian President.

Putin expressed sincere condolences to the families of the deceased Il-76 crew members.

President also instructed the Investigative Committee to publicly disclose the details of the Il-76 crash to the maximum extent.
