Mayor Eric Adams’s Electronic Devices Seized By FBI

As part of an intensified corruption probe against New York City Mayor Eric Adams’ 2021 campaign, the FBI confiscated electronic devices, including two or more cellphones, according to a New York Times article published on Friday.

Boyd Johnson, his campaign attorney, posted a statement...

“After learning of the federal investigation, it was discovered that an individual had recently acted improperly. In the spirit of transparency and cooperation, this behavior was immediately and proactively reported to investigators,” Johnson said.

However, he did not elaborate further on just who the individual was or what they had done specifically that was illegal.

One detail that was shared with reporters was how the investigation now serves to discover if Adams’s 2021 campaign efforts “conspired with the Turkish government and others to funnel money into its coffers.”

Former Spanish Politician Shot In The Face In Madrid

The former head of the center-right European People’s Party in Spain was shot in the face during an assassination attempt.

Alejo Vidal-Quadras suffered the wound to the face on Thursday. Spanish news agency EFE reported that Vidal-Quadras was approached by a motorcyclist that shot him at a close proximity.

He was rushed to the hospital by local emergency services.

“(We assisted) to a 78-year old man who had a bullet wound in the face, coming first from right angle of the jaw and went out through the left (jaw angle),”

Israeli and US armed forces reportedly carried out separate airstrikes targeting Iranian-backed groups in Syria within hours of each other on Wednesday, killing a total of 12 fighters.

Syrian state media said Israeli air strikes hit military sites in southern Syria, causing material damage.

“At approximately 22:50 pm today, the Israeli enemy carried out an air attack from the direction of Baalbek in Lebanon, targeting some military points in the southern region, causing some material losses,” official news agency SANA said, quoting a military source.

Brazil Nabs Suspected Hezbollah Operatives Said Planning Attacks on Jewish Targets

SAO PAULO, Brazil — The Brazilian Federal Police, working in cooperation with Israeli intelligence agencies, says it has disrupted a suspected domestic terror plot against Israeli and Jewish targets believed to be in its initial stages.

Federal investigators said Tuesday that they had uncovered a scheme allegedly involving the recruitment of Brazilian citizens by the Lebanese terror group Hezbollah, an Iranian proxy, to orchestrate attacks against members of the 120,000-strong Brazilian Jewish community.

The intended targets reportedly included synagogues.
