Jordan’s air force air-dropped vital medical supplies to a field hospital in the besieged Gaza Strip, King Abdullah II said early Monday.

“Our fearless air force personnel air-dropped at midnight urgent medical aid to the Jordanian field hospital in Gaza,” he said on X, formerly Twitter.

Jordan’s official Petra news agency said the airdrop was intended to replenish a Jordanian field hospital in Gaza, which was running low on supplies due to issues getting humanitarian aid into the Strip.

IDF believes it caused significant damage to Hamas tunnels in overnight strikes

The IDF said Monday that it believes heavy overnight strikes in northern Gaza caused significant damage to underground and aboveground infrastructure belonging to Hamas, as the military announced that a soldier had been killed in fighting a day earlier.

The military said Sunday it was carrying out “widespread strikes on terror infrastructure, below ground and above it,” which are now believed to have killed Hamas field commanders hiding in tunnels.

Hamas described the strikes as “intense bombings” and said they killed more than 200 people. The numbers released by the Hamas terror group’s health ministry cannot be verified, and it does not differentiate between civilians and combatants.

The IDF said Monday that it has killed more than a dozen Hamas field commanders — at the battalion and brigade level — since the beginning of the war, and noted that the loss was disrupting the terror group’s operations.
