An investigation by the Jewish American outlet Forward has revealed that Canada provided around $2.2 million in funding to at least eight organizations that supported WWII Nazi collaborators over the last seven years.
Much of this funding was directed to the Ukrainian Canadian Congress - which has praised the SS Galician unit, from which a fighter was recently honored in parliament.
The Congress is listed on public records as the recipient of nearly $1.5 million between 2016 and 2022, much of it for translation services for new immigrants.

The UK will send two Royal Navy ships and surveillance aircraft to the eastern Mediterranean in plans to "bolster security", No 10 says.
It comes after six days of violence following the surprise attack on Israel by Hamas.
The aircraft will begin patrols on Friday to "track threats to regional stability such as the transfer of weapons to terrorist groups".
STEVE'S TAKE: As much this added security is needed because fighting Islamic terrorism is necessary and is no joke, we also need our countries to be defending our own borders of our own nations too.

IDF: Infantry troops, tanks entered Gaza for ‘localized raids’ to clear area of terrorists, locate hostages
The IDF says infantry forces and tanks entered Gaza Strip territory today in “localized raids” in order to clear the area of potential terrorists and locate missing Israelis.
According to the military, the troops scanned and collected various findings “that may help in the effort to locate the missing.”
The IDF says the troops also killed a number of terrorists in the area, including a Hamas cell that launched anti-tank guided missiles at Israel.

Bodies are hauled in via refrigerated trucks, shrouded in thin white sheets or sealed in plastic bags, and unloaded in a quiet corner of the Military Rabbinate’s main base.
Overwhelming the permanent mortuary facilities, they are racked and loaded into a series of refrigerated containers, so they can be stored for processing and burial.
These are the unidentified bodies among the 1,300 Israelis, a majority civilians, who were killed by Hamas during a shock Saturday terror attack.
"We take the bodies of the murdered from the war,” explained A., a military officer responsible for overseeing the identification and processing operation. “Not everyone comes with identification, so we identify them with DNA, fingerprints, teeth records,” he said.
